Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this educational program, the participant will be able to:

  • Review the epidemiology of HPV including its prevalence, incidence rates and association with genital warts and cervical cancer
  • Examine the persistence and transmission of HPV infection including the reactivation of latent disease and specific mode of transmission
  • Evaluate screening and diagnostic procedures for both men and women
  • Discuss the clinical outcomes of HPV infection including genital warts, cervical and anal cancers and the role of cellular immunity
